The 2024 I2SL International Sustainable Development Laboratory Conference was successfully held

From December 7th to 8th, the I2SL International Sustainable Development Laboratory Conference was held at the Beijing International Convention Center. This forum was hosted by the China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association, undertaken by the International Sustainable Development Laboratory Branch of the China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association and Beijing Dynaflow Lab Solution Co., Ltd., and co-organized by "Experiment and Analysis", Zhejiang Cohen Experimental Equipment Co., Ltd., and the Capital Institute of Innovation Design. Numerous heavyweight guests from home and abroad gathered in Beijing to jointly discuss and plan the future development direction of the laboratory industry. More than 40 speakers, including international renowned universities such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the University of California, and Yale University, as well as excellent domestic and foreign architectural design companies, biotechnology companies, hospital medical experts, and financial lawyers, delivered professional speeches. Nearly 1,000 attendees participated in the conference.

The opening ceremony of the main forum, "AI+ International Sustainable Development Laboratory Innovation Development Forum," was presided over by Duan Xiaohong, Secretary-General of the China Inspection and Quarantine Association. Wang Xin, President of the China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association; Gordon P. Sharp, Chairman of the International Sustainable Development Laboratory Association (I2SL); Chi Haipeng, Vice President of the International Sustainable Development Laboratory Branch of the China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association; Qu Fenghong, Vice Secretary-General of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Vice President of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association; and Xu Yanhao, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

AI+ International Sustainable Development Laboratory Innovation Development Forum 
AI+ "Dark Laboratory" Forum

The AI+ International Sustainable Development Laboratory Innovation Development Forum aims to promote the sustainable development of the laboratory industry, strengthen international exchange and cooperation, and in-depth explore the application prospects of artificial intelligence technology in the laboratory field. Six sub-forums shared the opportunities and challenges of the laboratory industry development from different perspectives. In the AI+ "Dark Laboratory" forum, industry experts and scholars conducted in-depth discussions on the future trends of laboratory automation and intelligent operation. Different professional experts shared the applications and prospects of AI technology in energy mining, laboratory operational efficiency improvement, and biomanufacturing. 
 

In the Innovative Medical Laboratory Forum, numerous experts and scholars from the medical industry gathered together to discuss the latest progress in medical laboratory design and innovation. The forum focused on how to improve the functionality and efficiency of laboratories through cutting-edge design concepts and technological applications, and discussed the key role of medical laboratories in improving healthcare.

Innovative Medical Laboratory Forum

The International Laboratory Case Sharing Forum explored the innovative path of global laboratories, bringing together outstanding cases from all over the world. To this end, industry leaders and practitioners were specially invited to share their unique insights and successful experiences in laboratory design, operation, and management, hoping to provide valuable international perspectives and inspiration.

The Sustainable Laboratory Design Innovation Forum emphasized the effective utilization of resources, energy saving, and emission reduction through technological means in the design, construction, and operation of laboratories, promoting the development of the laboratory industry towards a more sustainable direction. Through innovative design and control technologies, reducing laboratory energy consumption provided valuable insights into achieving a greener and smarter laboratory environment.

Sustainable Laboratory Design Innovation Forum

The Top Universities Laboratory Design Forum discussed the advanced experience and theories of laboratory design in higher education institutions. It shared design cases of scientific research laboratories in universities, emphasizing the importance of balancing energy efficiency and chemical risks, as well as the impact of intelligent laboratories on climate emissions and the innovation of green higher education scientific research buildings.

Top Universities Laboratory Design Forum

The Laboratory Industry Going Global Forum discussed the new opportunities and challenges facing the laboratory industry in the context of globalization. The forum brought together industry experts to discuss risk control strategies and path exploration for the laboratory industry's global expansion, promoting the sustainable development and enhancement of international competitiveness of the industry. After the meeting, the China Inspection and Quarantine Association and the International Sustainable Development Laboratory Association signed a memorandum of cooperation, and will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the future to promote the sustainable development of the laboratory industry.

Laboratory Industry Going Global Forum

During the conference, 12 excellent exhibitors from the laboratory industry were showcased, covering dark laboratories, laboratory ventilation equipment, laboratory furniture, valve equipment, and automated equipment. Among them, Dynaflow's "dark laboratory", robot coffee, and robot ice cream were popular among the audience.

After the conference, the registered and visiting audience went to the Sinopec Petrochemical Science Research Institute laboratory and the Beijing Anzhen Hospital Tongzhou Branch laboratory for visits.
