Honor | Dynaflow Awarded First Prize of the 2023 Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Science and Technology Award

Good news! The list of winners of the 2023 Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Science and Technology Award has been announced. The project "Establishment of a Laboratory Biosafety Technology System and Its Application in the Prevention and Control of Major Infectious Diseases," led by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and with the participation of Xiaopeng Xi, Deputy General Manager of the R&D Department of Dynaflow, has won the 2023 Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Science and Technology Award First Prize.

Laboratory biosafety is crucial; it is a key defense line in safeguarding public health. During critical periods of major infectious disease prevention and control, Dynaflow, with its outstanding technical strength and innovation capabilities, has established an advanced laboratory biosafety technology system.

As one of the main cooperating units of the project, Dynaflow, in collaboration with the National Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institute for Infectious Disease Control and Prevention, the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Jianke Huaneng Technology Co., Ltd., North China Electric Power University, and the China National Accreditation Center, conducted joint research. Addressing prominent issues such as the lack of key protective technologies, the shortage of core protective equipment, and weak response capabilities to major public health events in biosafety laboratories, the project team conducted technological breakthroughs. Working in this field for nearly two decades, the team has improved China's laboratory biosafety technology system. Innovative applications in responding to sudden public health events, major event security, and overseas aid have demonstrated significant effectiveness, making important contributions to safeguarding national biosafety.

The Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Science and Technology Award is a science and technology award in the field of public health and preventive medicine in China. It was approved by the Ministry of Health of China in 2006 and by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. The award is presented every two years. The Chinese Preventive Medicine Association selects award-winning projects for recommendation to the China Association for Science and Technology for the National Science and Technology Award. As China's first science and technology award in the field of public health and preventive medicine, this award has not only been recognized by a large number of professionals in public health and preventive medicine but has also become one of the three major science and technology awards recognized for exceptional professional title selection in the health industry. In 2023, a total of 33 scientific and technological achievements received awards, including 5 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 17 third prizes, and 2 popular science awards.
