On September 29, Schwand, Chief Investment Officer of the Switzerland Trade and Investment Office at the Swiss Embassy in China, along with his delegation, visited and inspected Beijing Daina Experimental Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Daina Tech), followed by a fruitful discussion and exchange. Daina Tech Chairman Chi Haipeng, Vice President Dong Yuchong, General Manager of the Dark-Light Lab Business Unit Zhang Jingjun, Deputy General Manager Wu Yue, and other company representatives warmly welcomed the guests.

After touring the DanaTech AI + Lights-out Laboratories technology exhibition hall, the delegation led by Schwandt gained a deeper understanding of DanaTech's research and development efforts as well as its applications in the AI for Science field, and highly praised the company's technological innovations in the laboratory sector.

At the exchange meeting, Chi Haipeng provided a comprehensive overview of the company's corporate development journey, highlighted the technological advantages of AI + Lights-out Laboratories, and shared insights into the company's international business strategy. Currently, the independently developed AI + Lights-out Laboratories have achieved unattended operation and closed-loop control across the entire process, enabling an automation substitution rate in laboratories of approximately 95%. This breakthrough has boosted the efficiency of trial-and-error R&D and repetitive testing by up to 480 times. The technology has already been successfully implemented in fields such as chemical engineering, materials science, new energy, and biopharmaceuticals. By leveraging high-quality data to drive continuous model iteration, it has significantly reduced research costs, redefined performance standards for smart laboratories, and set a powerful example for the further expansion of AI for Science.
Following this, Mr. Schwand provided a detailed introduction to the functions of the Swiss Trade and Investment Office, as well as Switzerland's efforts in attracting Chinese enterprises to develop here. He expressed hope that the office would actively help companies identify trade partners and explore opportunities for technological collaboration. Additionally, he encouraged Daina Technology to proactively formulate its global expansion strategy, making full use of the platform resources offered by the Swiss Trade and Investment Office. By doing so, the company can seize key opportunities to tap into the European market, connect with high-quality resources and talent, and eventually "go global" to pursue cross-border business ventures. Moreover, Mr. Schwand highlighted how Switzerland’s cutting-edge expertise in the laboratory sector could be leveraged to support and enhance the growth of domestic enterprises back in China.

Daina Technology Chairman Chi Haipeng stated: "We are deeply grateful for the attention from the Swiss Trade and Investment Office of the Swiss Embassy in China. Moving forward, we will actively promote cooperation between our two sides, continuously increase investment in R&D, and further refine our 'AI + Lights-out Laboratories' technology and products—laying the groundwork early for expanding into the Swiss market."
