Honor | Dynaflow wins the First Prize of the 2023 Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Science and Technology Award

On March 19, 2023, the list of award-winning projects for the 2023 Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Science and Technology Award was announced. The project "Establishment of a Laboratory Biosafety Technology System and Its Application in the Prevention and Control of Major Infectious Diseases," led by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and with the participation of Xi Xiaopeng, chief engineer, Doctor of Science, and researcher at Dena Technology, won the first prize of the 2023 Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Science and Technology Award.

As one of the main cooperating units of the project, Dena Technology, in collaboration with the Institute of Viral Disease Prevention and Control, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention; the Institute of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention; Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention; Jianke Huaneng Technology Co., Ltd.; North China Electric Power University; and the China National Accreditation Center, conducted research to address prominent issues such as the lack of key protective technologies, the shortage of core protective equipment, and the weak response capacity to major public health events in biosafety laboratories. The project team has been deeply involved in this field for nearly 20 years, improving China's laboratory biosafety technology system. Innovative applications in responding to sudden public health events, major event security, and overseas aid have yielded remarkable results, making significant contributions to safeguarding national biosafety.

The Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Science and Technology Award is a science and technology award in the field of public health and preventive medicine in China, approved by the Ministry of Health of China in 2006 and by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. The award is presented every two years. The Chinese Preventive Medicine Association selects award-winning projects for recommendation to the China Association for Science and Technology for the National Science and Technology Award. As China's first science and technology award in the field of public health and preventive medicine, this award has not only been recognized by a large number of professionals in public health and preventive medicine, but has also become one of the three major science and technology awards recognized for exceptional selection of professional technical titles in the health industry. In 2023, a total of 33 scientific and technological achievements received awards, including 5 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 17 third prizes, and 2 popular science awards.
