This conference, themed "Oil to Carbon - From Heavy Oil Processing to Carbon Material Construction," attracted numerous experts, scholars, and corporate representatives from the carbon materials field.

The "2024 Carbon Materials Technology and Standards Seminar," jointly hosted by the Standardization Committee of the China Petroleum Society, the Petrochemical Research Institute of China National Petroleum Corporation, and the National Key Laboratory of High Value-Added Utilization of Heavy Oil Carbonization in the Petroleum and Petrochemical Industry at China University of Petroleum (East China), was successfully held at the Qingdao Licang Huayi Hotel on the afternoon of September 21.
Themed "Oil-Derived Carbon - From Heavy Oil Processing to Carbon Material Construction," this conference attracted numerous experts, scholars, and corporate representatives from the carbon materials field.

During the conference, Gong Changhua, Vice President and General Manager of the Sales Department at Dynaflow, delivered a wonderful speech titled "How AI + Robots Can Replace Scientists' Hands" in the afternoon agenda on the 21st. Gong Changhua's report detailed the background and needs of the laboratory: Scientists face numerous tedious, complex, and repetitive tasks during scientific research experiments, such as sample packaging, reagent data processing, and waste liquid disposal. There are additional risks in the research process; scientists may face life-threatening dangers.

Gong Changhua's report focused on the latest applications and development of artificial intelligence and robots in the field of carbon material research, detailing how AI technology can empower robots to perform experimental operations with high precision and efficiency, effectively replacing manual work in repetitive, refined, high-risk, and replicable experimental processes. This significantly improves experimental efficiency and accuracy; this highly automated solution not only reduces the workload of researchers but also significantly reduces human error.

Gong Changhua pointed out that with the rapid development of technology, AI and robot technology have penetrated many aspects of scientific research, especially in the research of carbon materials, which requires highly refined operations. The combined application of AI + robots has shown great potential. Through deep learning algorithms, robots can learn and imitate the operating habits of scientists, achieving precise control; at the same time, their powerful data processing capabilities can also analyze data in real time during experiments, providing scientists with more accurate decision-making basis.

In addition, this seminar also conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on six major topics: basic petroleum-based carbon chemistry, mesophase carbon theory and application, product engineering, engineering equipment, the development of new generation carbon materials, and carbon material-related standards. Experts and scholars from energy companies such as China National Petroleum Corporation and China Petrochemical Corporation, as well as well-known domestic universities and research institutions, gathered together to share the latest scientific research results and industry trends, contributing wisdom and strength to promoting the innovation and development of carbon material technology.

The successful holding of this seminar not only provided a platform for experts and scholars in the field of carbon materials to communicate and learn, but also laid a solid foundation for promoting the application and standard research of carbon material technology. Dynaflow will continue to adhere to the core corporate philosophy of "serving scientific research with innovation" in the future, actively responding to the national strategic call, and is committed to promoting the development of carbon material technology in China and globally to a higher level.
