On September 5, 2025, Wei Jin, Director of the Office of the Beijing Natural Science Foundation Committee, led a delegation to visit Beijing Dyna Experimental Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Dyna Tech"), conducting a调研 into the company's progress in scientific and technological innovation. Luo Hu, Deputy Director of the Fengtai District Bureau of Science, Technology, and Information, along with Chi Haipeng, Chairman of Dyna Tech, Dong Yuchong, Vice President, and other relevant leaders, accompanied the调研 team.

The Beijing Natural Science Foundation is a provincial- and ministerial-level research fund established by the Beijing Municipal Government, primarily aimed at supporting basic and applied basic research in natural sciences and interdisciplinary fields. Since 2014, the Beijing Natural Science Foundation has actively explored diversified funding mechanisms, collaborating with districts such as Fengtai, Haidian, and Shunyi to set up regional joint funds. Notably, the Fengtai Joint Fund has attracted the participation of eight key technology-based enterprises from Fengtai District. Among them, Daina Technology benefits annually by formulating R&D project guidelines tailored to the company’s specific research needs, while aligning with Beijing’s strategic priorities.

Director Wei Jin and his delegation gained an in-depth understanding of Daina Technology's R&D and applications in the AI + Lights-out Laboratories field, and they asked about any questions or support the company might need while participating in the joint funding program.

At the symposium, Chi Haipeng introduced that the company's independently developed "AI + Lights-out Laboratories" has achieved unattended operation and closed-loop control across the entire process, enabling an automation substitution rate of approximately 95% in laboratories. This system also boosts the efficiency of trial-and-error R&D and repetitive testing by up to around 480 times. Currently, the technology has been successfully implemented in fields such as chemical engineering, materials science, new energy, and biopharmaceuticals. By leveraging high-quality data to drive continuous model iteration, it significantly reduces research costs, redefines the performance standards for smart laboratories, and sets a powerful example for the further expansion of AI for Science.

Director Wei Jin fully affirmed Dena Technology's achievements in the "AI for Science" field, noting that the Beijing Natural Science Foundation has always been committed to fostering a deep integration between basic research and industrial development. The establishment of the joint fund aims to leverage the foundation's platform to identify outstanding research teams from diverse fields and backgrounds for partner companies, enabling them to collaboratively explore cutting-edge directions and technologies. At the same time, this initiative allows researchers to engage directly with real-world industry needs and application scenarios, thereby better facilitating the translation and practical implementation of scientific breakthroughs. She expressed her hope that Dena Technology will fully capitalize on its technological strengths in the dark-lab domain, forging a close partnership with the Beijing Natural Science Foundation to jointly advance both fundamental research and innovative technologies in this critical area.

Daina Technology Chairman Chi Haipeng stated: "We are deeply grateful for the long-term support and assistance provided by the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee, and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation. Moving forward, we will actively respond to the calls from the national and Beijing municipal governments, continuously increasing our investment in R&D, refining our 'AI + Lights-out Laboratories' technology and products, and steadily enhancing our technological innovation capabilities and core competitiveness. In doing so, we aim to make an even greater contribution to the sustainable development of the laboratory sector."
